David's experience includes multiple global executive, leadership, and operational director roles in the natural resources, chemical, pharmaceutical, and oil & gas industries. He has led upstream & downstream minerals projects in Australia, China, Africa, Brazil & North America. Relevant projects experience includes thermal processing, downstream derivatives, identification and sourcing of natural resource assets and greenfield project builds along with raising the required equity & debt for construction and operations.

Steven, a partner at AIP, leads our innovation group. He is the founder and former CEO of Pond Technologies, a pioneer in carbon capture through algae. Previously, he was the Director of the Jeffrey Skoll MBA Program offered by the Rotman School of Management and the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering at the University of Toronto.  His expertise spans technology development, corporate strategy, business growth, and sustainability.

H.B.Sc. in Chemical Physics and a B.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto.

Orlando has an extensive track record and experience in corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, financial analysis and modeling, business plan development, and economic studies. His experience includes corporate finance for Fortune-500 companies, as well as investment due diligence, mergers & acquisitions and corporate development for startups and venture companies in the heavy industries sector. He was a key member in initial successful fundraising and financing efforts for various venture companies globally, producing presentation decks, business plans and financial models.

Kevin is a legal and business executive with more than twenty years of experience leading and advising organizations across infrastructure, mining, sustainability, and technology. He specializes in project development, commercial strategy, and executing complex initiatives at the intersection of law, operations, and finance. Kevin is founding partner in a successful law firm and has held senior leadership roles including Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President and is admitted to the Ontario and New York bars.

Anish Makim is a finance executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience in a variety of industries. He previously held senior roles at TELUS and Rogers and began his consulting career with Deloitte. Anish has directly raised hundreds of millions in debt & equity capital, led M&A acquisitions and divestitures, ensured transaction readiness, and structured financings for capital intensive companies. Anish has also demonstrated operational excellence through revenue growth initiatives including partnership development, pricing and relationship management.

Anish holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and a BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University.  

Gil has extensive experience in executing US based chemical, mining, and industrial projects.  His expertise includes leading operations, innovation and technical efforts, leading technical feasibility studies, managing engineering design, and execution of construction projects.  He held project execution roles for various chemical and mining projects in the US, including successful completion of a US greenfield mining and industrial mineral project, and a high purity quartz plant project.  He is a registered Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering and Construction.

Steven is a professional geologist with extensive global experience in exploration, resource geology, project management, and property evaluations. His successful project execution experience includes various natural resource projects, in base and precious metals, industrial minerals, and energy fuels in the Americas, Africa, Australia, Europe, and Asia.
